Artistic Expolorations: Digital Art (2)
Since my last article here, I've been creating more images on my mobile. Recently I started to experiment with printing them off myself and making note cards of them. I'm really impressed with the result, especially because the images have been compressed quite a lot. I've also ordered a canvas print from Instacanvas in the USA to see what the quality of that product would be and whether it would be worthwile to have some more. All of this is of course in preparation for NEOS which will start in a few months time. But if you see a design you really like and would like to have a note card or a print of it, please let me know!

Artistic Explorations: Digital Art (1)
Weeks before my phone contract expired, I did some research about various mobile phones to see which one would suit me best. Well, it didn't take long before I chose the Iphone 4s. Since a few weeks I've been learning all about apps and how to make the most of this small technical wonder. Especially the creative opportunities are numerous and the results are impressive. The camera on it works really good, but is even better with some dedicated photo apps. And the photo sharing site Instagram offers a wealth of inspiration so I'm now officially addicted!

Artistic Explorations: Mixed Media (4)
It wasn't long after I published my last article that summer turned suddenly into winter. Last week we had about 15 cm of snowfall! Luckily it didn't take too long to melt but because the snow was so wet and heavy, some flowers had been crushed. Not for the hardy Scottish bluebell, thank goodness. I just love this flower especially when they completely cover the forest floor to create a purple carpet.
A while ago I created this mixed media painting inspired by the first photograph. I used special paper to create the tree trunks and combined that with acrylics on a canvas panel, 40 x 15 x 3.5 cm.
